The short-handed Toronto Raptors took another hit on Wednesday night.
Sophomore forward Jamison Battle was ruled out for the remainder of the Raptors contest against the Indiana Pacers due to a left ankle sprain, the team announced.
Battle suffered the injury shortly after halftime, tweaking his ankle while playing defence. He limped to the bench before leaving for the locker room area and eventually being ruled out.
The undrafted sharpshooter started just his second game of the season on Wednesday as the Raptors entered the night without seven players due to injury. He finished with five points, three rebounds and an assist in just under 20 minutes of action.
For the season, Battle is averaging 3.4 points on 44.7 per cent shooting from beyond the arc through 29 appearances.
